Software for the systems people depend on.

Zonai Labs is a software company in Toronto. We design and build integrations, public-facing apps and AI agent connections for our clients, and we make apps of our own.

We take a project from the first conversation to well after launch: proposal, design, build, training for your team, and three months of close support once it's live.

Integrations
Connecting your systems to each other and to outside partners, including government and police systems, with APIs built to handle limits and personal data properly.
Self-service apps
Web apps and touchscreen kiosks for the public, built so people can get things done without waiting for someone to help.
AI agent connections
MCP servers that let AI agents work with your own data, so your team can ask questions instead of writing queries.
Modernization
Moving legacy systems to the cloud one release at a time, while everyone keeps using them.
Advice
Comparing platforms and telling you honestly whether to build, buy, or do neither.
Mobile
iOS and Android apps, including our own, which you'll find on the Apps page.

  1. 01

Collision reporting, online and in person

A public service for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists to report collisions from home, later extended into a touchscreen kiosk for reporting centres.

    C# · .NET · JavaScript · Azure

  2. 02

    Collision diagrams that draw themselves

Staff used to sketch each scene by hand, in one colour, on a touchscreen. Now the diagram is generated from the report: a labelled road map of the location, with every vehicle in the right spot, facing the right way, in the right colour.

    Esri · C# · .NET

  3. 03

A queue system for reporting centres across Canada

Manages visitors at reporting centres nationwide, with internal support tools that mostly ended the need for support staff to work directly in the production database.

Role-based access · shared event system

  4. 04

Data exchange with police and government

Automated report transfers into police records systems, an API for a police service to pull collision data, and an integration with a provincial ministry of transportation.

REST · rate limiting · PII handling

  5. 05

A searchable media library for a newsroom

Scans storage for new footage, lets librarians tag each clip, and helps staff find what they need for a story. An MCP server lets AI agents search by tag and find similar videos.

    .NET 10 · Razor · SQLite · MCP

  6. 06

    Choosing a customer service platform

Compared HubSpot, Dixa and Zendesk on fit, APIs and integration effort, so the client could decide between buying and building with the facts in front of them.

About

Founded in 2023, Zonai Labs works with public-sector platforms, newsrooms and growing businesses in Canada and abroad.

Projects stay with the same people from start to finish. The team that scopes your project is the team that builds it, and the one you talk to after it launches.
